I know that Outback is a chain and all of them are essentially the same, but I can't help but love this place every time I come here. The menu rarely changes (except for an occasional upgrade) and many people might be bored by this, but I find comfort in that. I love that I know exactly what I'm going to get without even looking at the menu (but of course I always analyze it anyway). Here's my usual: the Aussie cheese fries, chicken on the barbie, and sangria or a martini. I know, there's nothing special about that, but it is soooo good! The Aussie cheese fries are probably the most fattening thing on the menu, but they are too good to pass up! And don't forget about the bread! I'm not sure what kind it is exactly, but they always refill if you want more. But in terms of chain restaurants, this is definitely one of the better brands with something for everyone.

We all get what Outback is about.....decent steaks at good prices. Its a feel good place packed with calorie rich comfort food. BUUT this place insists on filling its staff with the townies of some local high school. It honestly felt like I was in the middle of the movie "waiting' with Ryan Renolds and Anna Farris. Next to me a worker recently off his shift was downing his free meal as 3-4 other waiters took turns sitting with him and asking him 'where u partying tonight?" .."hell yeah i'm getting wasted too" .... this is an annoying Outback location....food is what you have come to expect over the years....

Eh, it was all right. My Aunt and I stopped in here last night 30 mins before they closed and the manager started our order since we waited for a significant amount of time for our waiter to get to us. We received our food in a timely manner and it was Outback good. I am a major fan of their house salad w/honey mustard dressing.....don't ask me why. It's just that way.

It's an Outback so it really doesn't seem to matter which location you are at, you always get the same thing. I'm really sad they took the caramel apples off the menu for sides. Those were amazing. The service here is a 50/50 shot it seems. I've been there before and have had amazing service and other times it's just been okay. Nothing really bad has ever happened here. All in all can't complain.

I would say things were UNEVEN... Two years ago we stopped going here because of the service; we went to dinner here this Friday night. There was a wait so we went to the bar and had a drink. The service was quick and professional, easy to do business, asked if we wanted a tab, etc... The drinks were fine, simple cold beer.. We got our table within a reasonable amount of time, our server was okay. Not easy to understand with an accent, however she was there every time we needed something. We had a manager come to our table early on and introduce herself and inform us if we needed anything to ask for her... So I would say the service improved from two years ago.... The food was good and okay.. We had steaks and seafood.... The grilled shrimp was excellent, grilled and moist a lot of taste, homerun... The snow crabs my wife and daughter had and they said it was very good. My wife had a filet and I had a Porterhouse... We both like the peppery flavor; however the quality of meat was not there. Mine had a lot of fat So the seafood was good however the steaks lacked quality and the service has improved...

I wanted to give the management a heads up about a great experience I had in your restaurant on Monday night, 7/19, thanks to Brian C., our waiter in the bar area. He was friendly and personable, and best of all, I gushed about how much I really wanted something that is no longer on the menu, and he went out of his way to find a way for the kitchen to prepare it. Very very thoughtful. I typically don't frequent chains because you don't get this type of service, but I was very surprised and pleased with Brian's service and Outback as a whole that evening. Thank you!

Awful, atrocious, abominable, dreadful, painful, terrible, unspeakable, and nasty! That should about sum up a dining experience at an Outback (can't even cook a)Steak(right)House. Oh, service was terrible too...

Always enjoy going here when I have a craving for Steak. I pretty much always sit at the bar and the service there is excellent. Good bartenders and you have an unobstructed view to the TV. Never had a bad meal or a bad experience at this site. Everyone has a smile and its apparent to me they strive to provide excellent service.

Actually 3 1/2. Service is always great. Quality of the steaks have really dropped for some time. That's upsetting cause I'm a serious steak lover. So much so I tried something new, the firecracker salmon. However, I don't like onions so it comes with mango salsa on top, I just skipped that. It was very good I was happy with my choice. Coconut shrimp are yummy. Nice sized shrimp.

I took my daughter here for lunch to celebrate her birthday. Everything was terrible even though the restaurant was empty. The host talked to a coworker, the waiter almost burned the baby's hand with a hot plate and the food was way overcooked. I went online when we left and complained. Within 2 hours of sending my email, the owner was calling me apologizing and asking for details. He then sent me a full refund in gifts cards via fed ex. My daughter and I returned 3 weeks later and our experience was completely different. Everything was absolutely fantastic. I was so impressed with not only with how responsive they were to my complaint but how great my next experience was! Hands down would recommend this location to everyone!!!

Actually, I am not a huge fan of their steaks. But their "prime rib dip" is the best sandwich of its type I have found in the Baltimore region. Also great veggie sides are available if you want to make it a little healthier.

I am actually not a Fan of chain Restaurants However OutBack changes the Game with the Lobster Tails. Never Tough always Tender Sweet and Flavored. This is the 1st time I've tried the Old Bay Lobster Tails and They were just as Good as The normal ones that are Grilled. And I am also thrilled that they have updated the menu since my last visit. The Macaroni & Cheese #BOMB... Great Addition. keep the new items coming. And The Bartender Just was AMAZBALLS. Great drinks Buddy. Did his Best to find the right recipe for My French Martini. Look forward to another Visit.

Just left there with 20 of us. Arrived at 7 and seating was no problem. 8 of us ordered prime rib. At 7:30 she returns and tells us she is out of prime rib. Mind you hardly anyone is in the place. So we changed the order. We all had our salads coming out then also. We had to request bread. Food came out and several people sent theirs back because it was so salty they could not eat it. At 9 pm I left still waiting on my bread and mac and cheese as well as bread. Tap was over $600 for sub par service and food would never return

I am a huge outback fan! I love their drink (seasonal especially ) and their menu deals. I personally love this location! I have celebrated many birthdays and occassion a here. Service is good. Normal. Not overly nice nor bad just normal waiter style. Service was also good in time we received our food. Not a long wait like Owings mills location. Our food is always really good. Well cooked and well presented. Location is very clean and nice atmosphere. Nice place for after church meal with the fam, little birthday get together, and quick date nigh.

Whoever is managing during the day on Saturday is insane. They had one bartender taking care of the bar, doing service bar and had nine 2 tops. The bartender was doing the best he could but it was obvious some patrons were getting upset with the time it was taking to get served. Food came out fine and was typical Outback style. Had some trouble getting attention for drink refills. Scratch that...ten tables now...

Curbside pickup times are absolutely horrible. I don't understand why they offer this service if you can't pull up and have your food brought out to you within minutes. This option simply needs to be cancelled for this location because they can't even come close to the estimated times. I picked up 3 steak dinners this way a few weeks ago for my mother's birthday. I intentionally showed up 10 minutes after the recommended arrival time because I know how slow and behind they always are. I waited in the car for an additional 25 minutes before the food came out! The service times are unacceptable. The only reason my rating is a 2 (instead of 1) is because the food is consistently good. But bad service kills any reason to return there after years of the same disappointment, over and over. Don't bother picking up from here.

I typically don't bother reviewing chain restaurants because (1) I usually don't go to them, and (2) everyone has been to a food chain, so there's not really much different you would expect. But, my experience at Outback the past few times has just been so disappointing that I am compelled to right a review. Initially, the very thought of going to a chain, where I can get better food at a local mom and pop shop for the same price, better price, and without the frills was somewhat irking. (yes, I admit that I am coming from a biased position). Yet, when I got to the restaurant and saw the people in line, I somehow felt "good" - maybe this place isn't so bad after all, it seems like a cool place, there are a ton of people, "sure, why not?" Atmosphere was great, service wasn't too bad; that gives it the extra star. Food items on the menu looked fantastic, as were the names - again reprimanding my initial feeling - "wow, maybe I was too hard on this place before" - and bringing about a sense of excitement and real craving for the food (they stretched the wait as usual). And $13.99 for a 9 oz. cut of steak! But, when the food arrived, the emperor's new clothes were revealed. Here's the break-down: Brown Bread: I liked that it was warm and freshly baked, but the flavor of the bread just wasn't there, it was bland and certainly didn't taste fresh. The butter didn't help either, it wasn't the fluffy kind that at least a place like Waffle House does a good job providing. Coconut Shrimp: I still remember the days (maybe 10 years ago now?) when Outback provided a succulent plate of 6 jumbo shrimp, bursting with the fresh natural flavor of the shrimp and coated with the nice coconut shrimp batter. Maybe I was more victim to their marketing then, but this time I bit into an overly burnt batter that seemed to lack substance and into lukewarm, slimy shrimp that largely under-stated the size of the batter. They weren't bad, just not as good as they used to be when this chain was brand new. Caesar Salad: I'm not sure if it just wasn't enough dressing, but the salad tasted bitter. The greens looked very fresh, but certainly didn't taste that way. I would prefer the Caesar Salads provided by Olive Garden over this one. But, again, not terrible. Rib-eye: This is what I got. At initial bite, the meat was cooked fine, but was a bit chewier than I was expecting. Needless to say, I've had some great steaks from the likes of Flemings and Ruth's Chris, etc. (on my company dollar of course), so I wouldn't say this was too bad. $20 seems priced about right for this one. Outback-Special: There's a reason why you can get a steak for under $15 and a first bite into this beef jerky of a meat will reveal why. The funny thing is that the meat is cooked medium rare, appears rare, but tastes and chews like it's well done. You chew into this meat and it's that hard flavorless kind that leaves a string of somethings between your tongue and teeth. I need to stop with the descriptions because all-in-all, this is an AWFUL steak and not worth your money. I certainly have cooked much better tasting steaks from the cuts on sale at the local grocery store on my foreman grill when I was in college. This was so disappointing that I had to drop a star from the rating. The sides: not bad! At least, the sweet potato fries and the sweet potato with honey butter were spot on. Fries were crispy and flavorful, albeit a bit greasy. Sweet potato was cooked perfectly - tender and soft, warm, flavorful. I will admit Outback does a good job with the sides. Altogether, I would say, if you're looking for a good family or friend experience on the budget, then this should be a tolerable eat (just be willing to spend a bit more than the cheap Outback Special cuts). But, if you're looking for at least medium quality meat (the kind you can get at a grocery store) and you tend to be the type that gets disappointed by poor quality food that is highly advertised, then I would avoid this place like the plague. And, regardless, of who you are, don't get the Outback Special! I would recommend the rib-eye.

Went in for an early dinner at the bar. The bar was empty other than one guest who seemed to have ordered take out and was chatting with the staff. The bar top was filthy, bread crumbs from the previous guest and sticky drink remnants. The bartender ignored the crumbs and asked if we wanted a drink. No mention of happy hour or specials and there were no table tents with information. I asked about it and he mentioned the $1 off draft beers and $1 off one of their signature drinks. Beer worked, finally got a dinner menu that had seen better days. There is no reason to give out beaten, worn out menus. That should have been my signal to drink our beer and leave, but we stayed and ordered dinner. I had seen online about a Wednesday special for 3 courses at a set price. No mention of this or advertising anywhere. I guess if you don't know about it they aren't volunteering it. Meal was underwhelming. I had soup and the small steak with fries, hubby had small caesar and prime rib with potato. Fries tasted like they had sat under a warmer for a long time, steak was ok, nothing special. Husbands prime rib was 30% fat, so since he ordered the bigger piece of meat, he actually got a small portion that was edible. Finished our meal, the bartender who had been helping us was busy chatting with the new bartender who came on shift. Ignored us for awhile longer. Finally the new one cleared away our plates. Since the check was already set on the counter I put out a credit card to pay. My meal was supposed to include a dessert. The bartender didn't seem to remember that part of the deal and never said anything about it. The new bartender took the credit card and I had to ask for the dessert to be packaged to take home since we apparently weren't going to be served it while there. Having staff who doesn't even bother to be much more than an order taker is disappointing. It was the slower (early) part of the night, there is no reason for a dirty bar and being ignored. We won't be back.

So it's my birthday and right now it sucks. The food here is always good - no complaints whatsoever. It's the service. The service is horrible! Our server is a nice enough guy but...our appetizers were wrong, my husband got his drink long before I did and we're sitting in a corner where they are piling dirty dishes up in front of us. Not to mention the smell. I don't know what that smell is, but it's gross - it smells like feet. So if something miraculous doesn't happen within the next few minutes - I will never come back here.

Ok yes, Outback is a chain. I have been coming to this location for a few years now and I think they have excellent service. So often is it easy to be left in the shuffle on a busy Friday or Saturday night. I have always been seated fairly quickly (they do call ahead seating!), and had servers that were quick and efficient yet very patient If I needed a minute. My water glass has never been dry, I guess my wine glass for that matter too! Sitting at the bar or at a table I have always had a very pleasant experience. I really like that they have a "healthy" menu now. I think the 6oz. Outback special can't be beat price- $9.99 for a steak and two sides!?!? I pretty much love Outback for a cheap county date.

We've eaten at this location many times over the years but had not dined there for a few months. Our most recent visit was disappointing. The menu is new (with increased prices of course) and the number of selections has been reduced. Two of my favorite entree salads are gone from the menu so that was a letdown. I ordered a new entree - chicken tenders. It came with a creole sauce but I asked for honey mustard sauce instead. The chicken tenders were ok - nothing memorable. The fries were poor - cooked way too much. My husband ordered chicken on the barbie which he has ordered and enjoyed many times in the past. This time, the chicken was very dry. He was not very enthusiastic about it. We have had some very good servers in the past. Our server on this visit, Todd, was "ok"; he was pleasant and courteous but we have had a number of better servers on prior visits. It took quite awhile for him to get to us after we were seated. He took our drink order and then was gone for quite awhile. He wasn't very attentive to our table in terms of checking back to see if we needed anything. This location is bright and clean and the owner/manager is a visible and active presence which is a positive. Overall, food and service this evening were just "ok" and we don't feel inspired to hurry back.

Please understand that I mean this as praise. Aren't all Outback Steakhouse locations the same? That's what these chains are striving for and this Outback location achieves the corporate model quite well. Serve sort of Australian fare ( or at least name them interesting Crocodile Dundee-isms) at a moderate price. Do Australian people actually ever eat at Outback when they are visiting here? I guess ti would be a little like an American hunting down an Applebee's in Berlin. Well maybe not because that would be pathetic, so hopefully no one would ever do such a thing. I digress. This outlet of the chain produced a serviceable meal at a decent price. Good solid performance, pleasant environment, good waiter. So maybe this review is more of a commentary on the doom & gloom economy reporting we are subjected to and how that just doesn't fit in with this area ( for the most part...of course there are people suffering, I get that...). The media would have you believe though, that most of us are huddled around the family hearth staring into the one last remaining smoldering scrap of coal and wondering which child to sacrifice for Christmas dinner.... okay a little overdone, but I'm feeling Dickensian. This location is collocated with a Carraba's and is on the ring road of Hunt Valley Mall. It was Saturday night about 7:30 p.m. (26 Dec) and both places had a 40 minute wait. We got lucky and took an "enclosed patio" seat rather than wait to dine inside. So we were in and out in an hour or so. However in looking around it wasn't just the "well-heeled" out living on the largess of the poor and huddled masses. I saw everything from young couples to families, to middle-aged and older groups. There were teen-aged "wanne-be" gang bangers and people in suits. So I guess the Hunt Valley area is somewhat immune to the "global economic meltdown", or perhaps in the midst of all the leftover snowfall due to global climate change we were just maxing out our credit cards.

This is my favorite Outback location in the area. The steak is always cooked properly. The service is always great. It is also located right by the movies, which makes it very convenient. The Perry Hall location is horrible. I drive farther just to go to this Outback and I recommend you do too.

The place wasn't packed which was nice. The steak wasn't that great though. I ordered it medium well and there wasn't a hint of red in the middle. They did let my party sit and talk forever though even once our meal was over. The waitress was really cute so that's a plus. It just seems to be an average place so I give it 3 stars.

It's a chain... Predictable oversize menu. Service was fine. Foccicia burger was good.
